| HISTORY : |
The Carroll County Red Cross was founded in June of
1917 by the wives of World War I servicemen over seas. An official
chapter for the county was formed on February 4, 1931. Since that
date the volunteer organization has operated to provide assistance
to local citizens following natural disasters and furnishing
services commonly associated with the International Red Cross. |
