KEEL, MARY Mrs. Mary Keel. Last Wednesday at 4 oclock Mrs. Mary Keel died at her home in Atwood. The cause of her death was dropsy and she had been in bad health for some time. Mrs. Keel was over 60 years old, a member of the Baptist church and a true, noble, Christian woman. She was a good neighbor, attentive to the sick and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. She leaves two children living, Amica Keel, of Greenfield, and Mrs. Lee Jones, with whom Mrs. Keel lived at the time of her death. The burial occurred yesterday at the Oak Grove burying ground. The bereaved have the sympathy of many friends in their loss. 

KEMP, MRS. J. S. GORDON "AUNT TENY" "NANNIE" [D. 06 Dec 1937[9]]-Penick Funeral Home Prominent Woman Dies From Injuries "Aunt Teny" Kemp, 76, passed away at her home on Forest Avenue Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 oclock, her death being the result of injuries sustained when struck by a car late last Friday afternoon. She was knocked to the street and run over by the car in the accident, said to have been unavoidable, and suffered broken limbs and internal injuries. Al though all that was possible had been done, her vitality was sapped, and she quietly entered into rest at the hour mentioned. Funeral services were held yesterday (Thursday) afternoon at Shiloh, with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev.

Geo. L. Johnson, pastor of the Shiloh Presbyterian church, of which she was a member, was in charge. Born and reared in the Shiloh community, the daughter of the late Muscious and Martha Dinwiddie Gordon, she and her late husband, who preceded her in rest ten years ago, moved to McKenzie about thirty years ago, and since had taken an active interest in the affairs of the city, both religious and civic, and none was more highly esteemed than she. She is survived by one son, Bernard Kemp, and a grand daughter, Katherine Sue Kemp, together with a number of other relatives, all of whom have the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of bereavement. 

KENDALL, MRS. J. W. [D. 24 Jul 1954] 2-Car Crash Kills Woman Near Paris The first traffic fatality of 1954 in Henry County was re corded Saturday night, July 24, when Mrs. J. W. Kendall of the Elk Horn community was killed in a two-car crash. The accident occurred on Elk Horn Road, about nine miles east of Paris. Mrs. Kendalls husband, J. W. Kendall, who was driving, and Mrs. Bessie Kendall, another occupant of the car, were injured. The Kendalls crashed head on into another auto on top of a hill. William Williamson, of Buchanan, driver of the other car, was also injured.
